Parents and Gardens

Wow. So I am not so good at blogging.

So I am still at 195. I am NOT eating well, and am shocked every time I step on the scale and it hasn't changed (as in gone up). I did read some blogs today about people losing weight, and I find that on most of them who keep it off do something in common. They eat less, and exercise more. It is an amazing concept, and I am going to try that before my scale decides to move in the wrong direction. I do not want every blog to be about how I am right where I was the last time. That would get really old really fast.

So my parents are in town for the next couple of weeks. I have to hand it to my mom. She looks great (again, she watches what she eats and exercises daily...weird). I want to look like that when I am nearing 60!!!!! Aside from that it is great seeing my parents. They are planning on moving back with in a year, and I am crossing my fingers that it will be sooner then later.

Also, I planted a garden, and there are green things in it now! And no they are not all weeds. I have a few pumpkin plants poking out, some cucumbers and green beans. As of yet, no tomatoes, which makes me sad because NOTHING beats a tomato fresh from the garden. I do have some tomato's I started in the house, but I am afraid to plant them. Anything I started as a seed in the ground is popping up strong, anything I started as seedlings is about dead except maybe 2 pepper plants who are holding on. I will update as soon as I get them in the ground and they endure the 90+ degree weather.

That's all for now.

Holdin' Steady

So this week I did not lose any weight. I stayed put at 196. I am not happy about this, but I didn't really do anything to expect any different. I ate decent, but really didn't exercise. I really need to work on increasing my activity level if I want to start losing weight again.

I did buy myself a really cute outfit at Kohl's. I am about 10lbs from wearing it, but I hoped it would be motivation. I didn't really intend for it to be motivational, but the price was like $5.00 for the top and $3.00 for the skirt....what's a girl to do. (they have some crazy 80% off racks!)

Anyways, this week I need to keep my eating on track, and improve on that, and also really start to exercise at least every other day! Hopefully next Sunday I will be under 195!!!

Here's to a better week!

I am a blog virgin

Wow. So this is my first blog. I have been thinking about doing one, but have just never gotten around to doing it. Here goes.

So obviously this blog is about me, losing weight. The reason I am doing this is I have been cheating on my husband. We are both losing weight together, and he is doing GREAT! He had to go away this weekend, and that is when the cheating began. The first day he was gone, I went to the big M, and got a #1 combo with COKE (we don't drink soda any more!). Yes, I felt/feel guilty about it. I also had cheesecake and coffee for breakfast. It was good. I had forgetten how much I love cheesecake. Yes, the cheating continues. Last night Andrew and I went to the gas station and stocked up on some treats for our movie, Enchanted. Andrew woke up this morning and was tapping his little foot at me, pointed to the pile of starburst wrappers, and said "Mom, I thought you on a diet, clean this mess up." Oh the shame.

Needless to say, I need to have more then just my husband to be accountable to. Even if it is just in the form of a blog.

The good news is that with all of this horrible cheating, I only gained one pound. I feel like crap, but at least my weight didn't go crazy. I did start this week out right though. For breakfast I had two small whole wheat pancakes and one egg. Bring on the fiber.

Starting: 203lbs
Current: 196lbs
Total loss: 7lbs

Heres to a better week!
